Women's Basketball Hallway Mural #1

This mural, located in the hallway outside the women’s locker room in Gampel Pavilion, is a sweeping visual tribute to the legacy of UConn women’s basketball, blending iconic players and championship moments into one continuous story of dominance.

Anchoring the piece are legendary figures like Rebecca Lobo (#50), whose presence ties directly to the program’s breakthrough 1995 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship, and Sue Bird (#10), representing the early-2000s dynasty.

The mural also weaves in other cornerstone players across generations, figures like Jennifer Rizzotti, Swin Cash, Tina Charles, and Maya Moore, captured in a mix of in-game intensity and emotional celebration. Action shots of drives, jumpers, and defensive plays are layered with moments of teammates embracing and championship trophies being raised, culminating in a team celebration scene along the bottom that reflects multiple title runs rather than a single year.
